Meeting of the MEP Željana Zovko with Predrag Kožul and Ljilja Zovko

Brussels, 3 May 2017 – Member of the European Parliament Željana Zovko received today Predrag Kožul, a deputy in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chairman of the Finances and Budget Committee at the House of Representatives and Ljilja Zovko, a deputy in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chairwoman of the Finances and Budget Committee at the House of Peoples on the occasion of the Inter-Parliamentary Conference “Public Procurement and Role of the Parliament“.

MEP Zovko and her guests discussed the progress made in Bosnia and Herzegovina so far in the process of European integration and the changes required from the country to be implemented in order to become first a candidate state and then a full member of the European Union, such as adoption of the changes to the Election Law, resolving the issue of the public media service, adoption of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliamentary Committee for Stabilization and Association by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the European Parliament and completion of the EC questionnaire.

MEP Zovko closed the meeting by stressing the importance and responsibility of Parliamentary deputies and representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the country’s accession path to the European Union.
