(ANNOUNCEMENT) MEP Zovko at the Second ELSA Congress in Split – “Legacy of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia“

Member of the European Parliament Željana Zovko will participate in the Second Congress of ELSA (European Association of Law Students) “Legacy of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia“, which will be held on Saturday, 5 May in the Hotel “Park” in Split. Zovko will deliver a speech in the panel titled “Has the International Criminal Tribunal contributed to reconciliation in former Yugoslavia?“.

At the February plenary session held in Brussels, Zovko participated in the debate on the work and legacy of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia, when she used an opportunity to call for an efficient analysis of the Tribunal and for organisation of a scientific conference about the lessons learnt, at which legal experts may present their views on the work and efficiency of the verdicts from the legal point of view. Therefore, she accepted with pleasure the ELSA invitation to participate in the Congress on this topic.
