Strasbourg, 16 April 2018 – Member of the European Parliament Željana Zovko hosted on Monday in the European Parliament in Strasbourg employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs from Split. The visitors had an opportunity to learn about the functioning of the European Union and its institution, as well as about the decision-making process in the European Parliament and the way the decisions affected the everyday lives of the EU citizens.
Zovko told them about her work in the European Parliament and about the recent Report on the Union Civil Protection Mechanism and the Report on Progress on the UN Global Compacts for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration and on Refugees, on which she worked as a rapporteur from the Development Committee (DEVE) and the European People’s Party in the EU Committee for Foreign Affairs (AFET).
