Zovko in Brussels with the students in the “EU for You – #E4U” project

Brussels, 21 June 2018 – Member of the European Parliament Željana Zovko and the EP Rapporteur for Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Dan Preda received yesterday in Brussels the winning team of the “EU for You – #E4U”: “Start yourself up!” project.

In their campaigns students presented various modes of encouraging the young people to get involved in the changes, which may bring Bosnia and Herzegovina back onto the path to the European Union. Zovko stressed how important it was for the young people to learn about the way of functioning of the European Union and the possibilities offered to the EU citizens, especially in the field o education and employment of young people.

Undergraduate students from eight state faculties from Bosnia and Herzegovina were creating public campaign in this project, titled symbolically “EU for You – #E4U”. The main goal of the EU Special Representative Office to BiH (EUSR) was to encourage the students to discuss social and economic reforms and the challenges they were facing. The students’ task in the project was to realise public campaigns until January this year, in which they had to present their views on the mentioned issues, primarily targeting their colleagues, young people in BiH and wider public.

MEP Zovko commended the students for their efforts, promotion of the common European values and possibilities offered to the BiH citizens by EU membership.
