Željana Zovko was invited by the James Madison University to have an interactive session in the European Parliament in Strasbourg with a group of students of their Italian based faculty. The students of the Masters programme in EU policy Studies were visiting Strasbourg during their annual “Louise Weiss” trip to see the EP committee meetings and the EP plenary in action.
During the exchange of views, Ms Zovko shared her opinion and her experience regarding the situation in the Western Balkans. By referring to the recent history and the structural evolution of the region, she concluded that a further reformation and development of these countries is paramount for the region and for the possible accession to the EU.
