Member of the European Parliament Željana Zovko participated today in an exchange of views with Commissioner Marta Kos.
She stressed the need to understand the complexity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and said that this year will mark the 30th anniversary of Dayton-Paris peace agreements.
Zovko added that EU should take more interest in Croatian energy and security issue in building Southern Interconnection pipeline through Bosnia and Herzegovina that is a candidate country and where Croat constitutive people reside. The recent episode of foreign interference into pressing federal Parliament representatives in voting the law that goes against Croatira energy security interest raises concern.
Zovko asked new Commissioner for enlargement to address this issue with local stakeholders and to work more closely with Trump administration.
Let us remind you that Zovko has been actively working for the protection of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is a strong advocate for a fairer representation of Croats in the country’s electoral law.
