MEP Zovko hosted in the European Parliament the children from the Children’s Homes from Split and Vinkovci

Bruxelles, 28 November 2018 – MEP Željana Zovko hosted in the European Parliament the children from the Children’s Home Maestral and Slava Raškaj from Split and from the Children’s Home Sv. Ana from Vinkovci.

 

 

MEP Željana Zovko has hosted today in the European Parliament the children from the Children’s Home Maestral and Slava Raškaj from Split and from the Children’s Home Sv. Ana from Vinkovci.

 

During their two-day visit, the young visitors had an opportunity to attend lectures about the way of functioning of the European Union and its institutions and about the decision-making process in the European Parliament. MEP Zovko explained the everyday tasks of a member of the European Parliament, and the initiatives she was launching as a MEP.

“The main purpose of the visit was to inform the young people about the European Union and about the possibilities it offers, which may be helpful for self-achievement and in general for making progress in life.“ said Zovko.

MEP Zovko and the young visitors recorded in the EP TV studio a show “From the Heart of Europe”, which will be broadcast by several Croatian local TV-stations.
